Dear All,

We are pleased, nay honoured, nay delighted to welcome you to the home of the Network of Opportunities!!!

Aberdeen Network launched on the 26th May when the whole of Aberdeen Area flocked towards Templars' Park for the camp of the century... The Centenary Camp!!! Together fourteen potential Networkers met underneath the brand new abseiling tower. From this meeting the very first Executive and Events Team were formed.

These days our numbers have shot up to just under forty... this makes us one of the biggest two Networks in Scotland!!!
If someone from Glasgow Network could tell us their numbers so we could be more precise that would be nice...

As we are sure you know Network is the final section in scouts for people aged between 18 and 25. It provides us all with new and exciting opportunities in the form of regular meetings, many many camps all over the country, hundreds of activities, assisting in the running of area events... the opportunities are endless!!!

We meet every Tuesday at Tripple Kirks at 8pm. Tripple Kirks is on the corner of Belmont Street and School Hill just opposite the Art Gallery. We also have monthly camps and fortnightly activities.

If you are from Aberdeen and are studying away from home this is a perfect way to stay involved with Aberdeen Scouting.

If you are in the opposite situation, you are not from Aberdeen but you are studying here and you want a chance to get involved in Scouting in Aberdeen, then this is your perfect opportunity.

If you live in Aberdeen all year round then there is no excuse!

This is obviously a Network not to be missed and it would be a tragedy if someone wasn't part of it because they didn't know about it. To help avoid this I would ask each and everyone of you to tell all your Scouty friends, family, pets and enemies about Aberdeen Network. Shout it from the roof-tops, trumpet it in the streets and let it be known across the length and breadth of the land that there is ONE Network that Networkers want to be in.
